Is there an app that counts days since I quit Zyn?

By Jack Wallner · Last updated

Yes. Quit Zyn: Pouch & Snus Tracker is a free iPhone app that counts the days since your last Zyn. You set your quit date, and the count shows in the app, in Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets, and on an Apple Watch app. There is no account to create, and the counter, calendar, widgets and Watch app are free.

Disclosure: Jack Wallner makes Quit Zyn, so this page describes his own app. Features and what is free were checked against the app as of October 2026.

General information, not medical advice. Quit Zyn is a tracking tool and does not treat nicotine dependence. For help quitting, talk to a clinician or call 1-800-QUIT-NOW (1-800-784-8669) in the US, and see Smokefree.gov.

How does the Zyn day counter work?

On first launch Quit Zyn asks when your nicotine-free time began. You can pick today or any past date, so a quit from last month starts with those days already counted. From then on the number moves with the calendar, and the widgets and Watch app work it out from your quit date, so they stay current even on days you never open the app.

Each day you can tap one check-in to log how the day felt. Every check-in waters a small garden that grows from a seed toward a full tree as the days add up. The calendar shows a day you checked in as solid green, a day counted without a check-in as pale green, and a slip as red. Above it are three numbers: your current streak, your longest streak and your total nicotine-free days.

Can I see the count on my Apple Watch and Lock Screen?

Yes, and both are free. The widget comes in five styles: small and medium for the Home Screen, and circular, rectangular and inline for the Lock Screen. The Apple Watch app shows your day count, the day your current streak started and your garden's current stage.

The Watch app is for glancing at the count. Check-ins, cravings and slips are logged on the iPhone.

Does it count days off snus or other pouches too?

Yes. It counts nicotine-free days, so it works the same for Zyn, any other nicotine pouch, snus, dip, vaping or cigarettes. Setup asks how many pouches a day you used and what a can costs. The optional Bloom+ upgrade uses those numbers to show money, pouches and nicotine avoided.

What is free and what needs Bloom+?

The counting itself is free. Bloom+ is optional and adds extras on top.
