Is there a Quit Zyn day counter for Apple Watch and the Lock Screen?

By Jack Wallner · Last updated

Yes. Quit Zyn: Pouch & Snus Tracker has an Apple Watch app and three Lock Screen widgets that show your nicotine-free days, and all of them are free. It also has small and medium Home Screen widgets with your bonsai, and it needs no account.

Disclosure: Jack Wallner makes Quit Zyn, so this page describes his own app. Every detail about Quit Zyn below was checked against the app's current build.

General information, not medical advice. Quit Zyn is a self-tracking tool and does not treat nicotine dependence. For help quitting, talk to a clinician or call 1-800-QUIT-NOW (1-800-784-8669) in the US, and see Smokefree.gov.

Which widgets does Quit Zyn have?

CircularLock ScreenYour day count
RectangularLock ScreenA leaf and your days nicotine-free
InlineLock Screen, above the clockYour days nicotine-free as a line of text
SmallHome ScreenYour bonsai with the day count

The widgets and the Watch app work the count out from your quit date, so it moves forward every day even when you have not opened the app.

What does the Apple Watch app show?

Open Quit Zyn on your Watch to see your day count, the day your current streak started and your garden's current stage. The Watch app is for seeing your count. Check-ins, cravings and slips are logged on your iPhone, and the Watch picks up the change.

How do you add the Lock Screen widget?

  1. Install Quit Zyn and set your quit date.
  2. Touch and hold the Lock Screen, then tap Customize and choose the Lock Screen.
  3. Tap the widget area under the clock (or the line above it for the inline widget) and pick Quit Zyn.
  4. On Apple Watch, Quit Zyn installs with the iPhone app when automatic install is on, or from Available Apps in the Watch app on your iPhone.

Free from the first launch, with no time limit: the day counter, calendar, check-in and reminder, craving mode, slip logging, the garden with one bonsai species, achievements, widgets, the Apple Watch app, the first 5 health milestones and one journal entry.

Bloom+ adds:

Bloom+ is a monthly or yearly subscription, each with a 1-week free trial for eligible new subscribers, or a one-time lifetime purchase. Prices are shown in the app.
