Best Quit Zyn App for iPhone
Best for tapering down pouch by pouch: Pace or Pouch Buddy. Best for a plain cold-turkey day counter with no account: Quit Zyn. Best if you want a quit coach and community and do not mind a vaping focus: Quit Vaping. Pouched is a quiz-led plan with per-pouch logging. The main choice is whether you want to cut back gradually or stop completely and count the days.
How we compared. We read each app's App Store listing and pulled rating, rating count and update date on October 12, 2026. We also ran Pouched, Quit Vaping and Pace through first launch and stopped at the sign-up screen in Pouch Buddy. We did not subscribe to anything. Disclosure: Jack Wallner makes Quit Zyn: Pouch & Snus Tracker, so read its entry with that in mind.

The apps, one by one
Pace - Quit Zyn & Nicotine
Pace is aimed at tapering. Setup is six short screens: you choose to quit today, taper down or stay Zyn-free, enter pouches per day, strength and can cost, and it shows a four-week plan with a quit date. Logging a pouch is one tap and money saved updates as you go. The upgrade is optional in our test and covered the widget, savings goals and a share card. It is a young app with 4 ratings and a fairly thin first-day history view.
Pouch Buddy Nicotine Tracking
The listing describes a quit plan that steps you down at your own pace, daily limits in pouches or milligrams, a last-pouch timer, a spending tracker, a one-tap widget and friends who quit alongside you. In our test the app opened on a sign-up screen (phone, Google or Apple) with no guest option, so we stopped there and the details above come from the listing.
Pouched Nicotine Pouch Tracker
Pouched logs each pouch, tracks cost and savings, builds a reduction timeline and offers a widget and a friend feature. In our test the setup ran through more than 20 screens and ended on a plan screen with no visible way past it except starting a trial, so there was no free tier to try. That suits people who want a structured program and are happy to pay up front.
Quit Vaping
Despite the name, it is the most established app in this set and its listing lists a buddy system, forum, craving and trigger trackers, guided breathing and a coach subscription. The wording is about vaping throughout, so pouch users may find it a loose fit. Some stats and goals were locked for free users in our test, and the community needs an account.
Quit Zyn: Pouch & Snus Tracker
Jack Wallner's app. It counts days since your last pouch, with a one-tap daily check-in that grows a garden, a calendar, a craving mode with guided breathing, a widget and an Apple Watch app that stay free. A slip restarts the counter but keeps half your progress. Limits: it is a stop-completely counter with no per-pouch logging, no daily limit or taper plan, and no nicotine strength tracking, and it has no ratings yet.
Which should you pick?
- You want to cut back gradually and log every pouch: Pace or Pouch Buddy.
- You want a structured program and are fine paying up front: Pouched.
- You want a coach, a buddy and a forum: Quit Vaping.
- You are stopping completely and want a quiet day counter with a Watch app and no sign-up: Quit Zyn.
- You do not want to make an account: Pace, Pouched, Quit Zyn, or Quit Vaping in its basic mode. Pouch Buddy asks you to sign up first.
Frequently asked questions
What is the best app to quit Zyn?
It depends on how you plan to quit. Pace and Pouch Buddy suit tapering with daily limits. Quit Zyn is a simple day counter for stopping completely. Pouched and Quit Vaping add structured programs and community features.
Do these apps help you quit nicotine?
They can help you track pouches, days and money, and keep a record of cravings. They do not treat nicotine dependence. A clinician or a quitline such as 1-800-QUIT-NOW can offer medical support.
Do I need an account to use a quit Zyn app?
Not always. In our test Pace, Pouched and Quit Zyn let us in without an account, while Pouch Buddy opened on a sign-up screen.
Are quit Zyn apps free?
All five are free to download, but what stays free differs. Pouched asked us to start a trial during setup, while Quit Zyn keeps its counter, check-in, widget and Watch app free. Prices vary by region.
