Total Calories Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 17, 2026

Total Calories reads selected Apple Health data to display calories, steps, trends, and optional body-profile context. It does not require an account.

HealthKit data

With your permission, the app may read active energy burned, basal energy burned, and step count. If you use body-profile or dietary features, it may also request height, body mass, body-fat percentage, and dietary energy. HealthKit data is processed on-device, is not uploaded, and is not used for advertising, marketing, data mining, or cross-app tracking. The app does not write to HealthKit.

Daily summaries, history, goals, preferences, widgets, watch data, and CSV exports are stored or generated locally. Exported files are shared only through the destination you choose. Revoke HealthKit access in iOS Settings.

Purchases

Vitals+ includes monthly and yearly auto-renewing subscriptions and a one-time lifetime purchase. Apple processes payment. RevenueCat verifies entitlement status and may process an anonymous app user ID, purchase and entitlement information, and limited technical app or device context, including subscription analytics. It does not receive HealthKit data, health summaries, or CSV exports. See RevenueCat's privacy policy.

Retention and deletion

Local data remains until you delete it or remove the app. Revoke HealthKit permission in iOS Settings. Apple and RevenueCat retain transaction records under their policies. We do not operate a server-side health database for the app.

Children and changes

Total Calories is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children. We may update this policy when the app or its services change.
