Protein Tracker - Grams Today

Email jackwallner+protein@gmail.com. It is answered by the person who wrote the app.

My other food app's protein is not showing up

Not every food logger writes dietary protein to Apple Health, and some write only calories. Open the Health app, go to Browse, Nutrition, Protein, and check whether that app appears under Data Sources. If it does not, it is not sharing protein, and there is nothing Protein Tracker can read. If it does, open Health, tap your profile picture, Privacy, Apps, Protein Tracker, and make sure Dietary Protein is on for reading.

The total looks too high

Two food apps are probably logging the same meals. Open the Sources screen (the icon at the top right of Today) to see every app writing protein, what each contributed, and how long ago. Turn one off.

My entries are not appearing in Apple Health

Writing to Health is a separate permission from reading. Open Health, tap your profile picture, Privacy, Apps, Protein Tracker, and turn Dietary Protein on under Allow to Write Data. Entries you added while writing was off are kept on your device and moved into Health as soon as you allow it.

The complication is not updating

watchOS decides when a complication is allowed to refresh, and it budgets those refreshes. Opening the app always re-reads the day and updates the complication immediately. Protein you add on the wrist updates it straight away.

What is free, and what is Protein+

Free: logging on the iPhone and the Apple Watch, the three quick-add buttons, any amount you like, your daily target, today's total read from Apple Health, source controls, the iPhone widget, the Apple Watch complication, and seven days of history. Protein+ adds your whole history, streaks and month-on-month trends, setting the three quick-add buttons to your own amounts, and the evening reminder.

Managing or cancelling Protein+

Subscriptions are managed by Apple: Settings, your name at the top, Subscriptions. Refunds are requested through Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. Tap Restore Purchases in the app's Settings if a purchase is not recognised on a new device.

Deleting your data

Open Review today's entries on the Today screen to remove grams you added in Protein Tracker. You can also manage Protein samples in Apple Health under Browse, Nutrition, Protein, Show All Data. Deleting the app removes its local settings and cached data.
