Deep Cuts Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 25, 2026

Deep Cuts needs no account. Your chosen crates, scores, streak and preferences are stored on your iPhone. There are no ads, no analytics or advertising SDKs, and nothing is sold.

Song previews and artwork

Album art and song previews are loaded from Apple (Apple Music and the iTunes Search API). The app asks for a specific track, so Apple sees that request like any other web request. See Apple's privacy policy.

On This Day

The On This Day screen loads today's music history from Wikipedia. The request carries only the date. See the Wikimedia privacy policy.

New and corrected questions

When the app opens, it may check our server, hosted by Supabase, for new or corrected questions. The request carries no personal information.

Location

If you search for music venues near you, Deep Cuts asks for your location and uses it for that search through Apple Maps. It is not stored and is never sent to us. You can turn it off in iOS Settings. Tour dates open on Ticketmaster's website with the artist's name.

Suggestions and problem reports

Suggest a change and Report a problem send what you write to the developer, stored by Supabase. Each message also carries a random install identifier, the app version, device model, iOS version, your chosen crates, your text size setting, and the question you reported if any. A name and a screenshot are included only if you add them. Messages are read to fix problems and improve the app, and the reply is shown back to you in the app. Email us with roughly when you sent a message if you want it removed.

What we do not collect

We do not collect your email address, contacts, photo library, precise location history, health data, or advertising identifier, and we do not track you across other apps or websites.

Retention and deletion

Data on your iPhone stays until you delete the app. Suggestions are kept only as long as they are useful for improving the app.

Children and changes

Deep Cuts is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children. We may update this policy when the app or its services change.
