Baby Docs helps a family keep track of the administrative paperwork that follows a birth in the United States. It generates a personalized list of tasks from the answers you give, shows the deadline attached to each one, lists the documents you will be asked for, and links you to the official government page that handles it.
Baby Docs does not give legal, tax, medical, financial or insurance advice. It is an organizational tool. Nothing in it is a substitute for a lawyer, an accountant, a benefits administrator or your own state's rules.
Baby Docs does not file anything for you. It never submits, transmits or signs a government, tax, insurance or legal form on your behalf, and it never logs in to any account of yours. Every task ends with you going to the official site and doing it yourself.
The deadlines in the app are guidance, not guarantees. They come from federal rules that apply generally. Your own health plan, your own employer and your own state can and do set different ones, and those override anything the app shows. Each task links to the source its rule came from, with the date that source was last read. Check it before you rely on a date, especially where money or coverage depends on it.
Rules change. We update the catalog and record when it was last reviewed (visible in Settings), but there will be periods where a rule in the app is behind the rule in the world.
There is no household-data account, no household-data login and no household-data server. Your household data stays on your iPhone. You can send another parent a link that lets their own phone rebuild the same plan from your answers; from that point the two plans are independent, and neither one updates the other. Purchases, if any, are handled separately by Apple and RevenueCat.
A link you send is readable by anyone you send it to, and by anyone they forward it to. It carries your household answers — a birth date, a state, how you are covered — so treat it as you would any message containing those.
Every task, deadline, document checklist and official link is free for every child, as is sending the plan to another parent and the warnings for the two hard deadlines. Baby Docs Plus adds suggested-date reminders, a Sunday digest, reminders you set yourself, the recommended order, calendar export, follow-up tracking, the document vault beyond the first twelve weeks, the employer packet and the printable one-page summary. It is available as a subscription or as a one-time purchase.
Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and are managed in your Apple Account settings. A free trial period, where offered, is forfeited if you buy the subscription during the trial. Purchases are handled by Apple; refunds are requested from Apple, not from us.
The available subscription period, one-time purchase option, price, and any introductory offer are shown in the app before purchase and may vary by region. Apple charges your Apple Account at confirmation.
Documents you have already added to the vault stay readable if a subscription lapses. Lapsing stops you adding new ones; it never removes what is there.
Baby Docs is provided as is, without warranty of any kind. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss arising from a missed deadline, an out-of-date rule, an incorrect link, or reliance on anything the app displayed. You remain responsible for your own filings.
Delete the app and the household data stored on that iPhone goes with it. There is no household-data account to close and no household-data copy on our side. Apple and RevenueCat may retain purchase records as described in the privacy policy.
