Best love language app for couples (October 2026)

By Jack Wallner. Updated October 12, 2026.

There is no single best love language app, because the five here do different jobs. Best for love-language reminders you can use without your partner or an account: Little Gestures. Best for a love language quiz and partner nudges: Love Nudge. Best for daily questions you both answer: Paired. Best for expert-led lessons: Evergreen. Best for tending family and friends as well as a partner: Kindest.

How we compared. I read each App Store listing and pulled its rating, update date and supported devices from Apple's public lookup on October 12, 2026 (US storefront). I also opened Love Nudge, Evergreen, Kindest and Little Gestures to see the first minutes before any payment. Love Nudge and Evergreen both asked for an account before showing any content. Paired is described from its listing only. Jack Wallner makes Little Gestures: Couples Care, so read its entries with that in mind.

Ratings, update dates and device support come from Apple's App Store lookup on October 12, 2026. Little Gestures is new and has no ratings yet. Love Nudge's listing offers a one-time purchase for its learning content; the others use subscriptions.

Little Gestures: Couples Care

You enter your partner's name and love languages, then set reminders for small gestures, from a kind message to a favor, and for anniversaries and birthdays with countdown widgets. You can add reminders by voice from Apple Watch. Building your own reminders is free and your partner does not have to install anything. The trade-offs: there is no love language quiz, so you choose your partner's language yourself; the library is short one-line ideas; check-ins, insights and surprise reminders are in the paid tier; and it is new, with no ratings yet. It also has no chat or social feed.

Love Nudge

Love Nudge is built on Gary Chapman's book The 5 Love Languages and has the clearest connection to the original idea: learn each other's languages, exchange nudges, set activity goals and watch each other's love tank. It opened on an email sign-up with no way to look around first, and it needs a connection to work. The listing shows the last update in July 2024, so it is the least recently updated app here. Choose it if both of you want to take the quiz and trade nudges.

Paired: Couples & Relationship

Paired has the largest audience of the group, with over two hundred thousand ratings. Each of you answers a daily question and then sees the other's answer, and it tracks important dates. Its listing puts guided journeys, including love languages, games and quizzes in Premium. It suits couples who want a five-minute daily conversation prompt and are fine creating accounts. It is a conversation tool, not a reminder tool.

Evergreen: Relationship Growth

Evergreen is the lesson-and-quiz option, with a daily question, couples quizzes, lessons from relationship experts, points and streaks. Its topics range from communication and conflict to money and intimacy. In my check, a short private quiz led to an account sign-up before any content. It suits couples who want structured learning and does not center on love languages.

Kindest: Relationship Tracker

Kindest tracks actions and memories for any relationship: partner, parents, children, friends and yourself. Each person gets a progress ring, and a Discovery tab offers action templates. It needs no account. It has no love language concept, no partner pairing and no quiz, and in my check its subscription offer returned after I had dismissed it. It suits someone who wants one place to remember to show up for several people.

Which should you pick?

If you are new to the model, start with the five love languages with examples.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best app for the 5 love languages?

It depends on the job. Love Nudge is built on Gary Chapman's book and includes a quiz and partner nudges but needs an email account. Little Gestures turns your partner's love languages into reminders and needs no account or partner install.

Is there a free love language test?

Yes. The 5 Love Languages website offers its quiz free in a browser, so you do not need an app to learn your language.

Do both partners need to install the app?

Not for Little Gestures, where your own reminders work alone. Love Nudge and Paired are built around a connected partner.

Which couples app has the most ratings?

Paired: Couples & Relationship, with more than 209,000 US ratings as of October 12, 2026. Evergreen has more than 54,000.

Do these apps need an account?

Love Nudge and Evergreen asked for an account before showing content when I opened them, and Paired's listing describes pairing with a partner. Kindest and Little Gestures need no account to start.
