Best Baseball Savant app for iPhone (October 2026)
Baseball Savant itself is a website, and a search of the US App Store on October 12, 2026 found no app from MLB or Savant under that name. Best for Savant-style red and blue percentile bars on a phone with no account: Baseball Savvy StatScout. Best for WAR, wRC+ and projections: FanGraphs. Best for live games and video: the MLB app. Best for fantasy and betting tools: Ball Knowers.
How we compared. I read each app's App Store listing, pulled its rating, update date and supported devices from Apple's lookup on October 12, 2026, and opened the apps on a Mac to see what a new user gets before signing in. I could not get past the sign-in screen in Ball Knowers or HOF, and I read the MLB app from its listing only. Jack Wallner makes Baseball Savvy StatScout, so read its entries with that in mind.
Side-by-side comparison
| App | Best for | Price model | Apple Watch | iPad | Account | Rating (count) | Last updated |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Baseball Savvy StatScout | Savant-style percentile bars for every qualified player | Free + subscription or one-time purchase | No | Yes | No account | 5.00 (4) | Oct 10, 2026 |
| FanGraphs | WAR, wRC+, FIP, projections, articles | Free + membership | No | Yes | No for the free tier; sign-in for membership | 4.76 (387) | Aug 25, 2026 |
| MLB | Live games, video, highlights, alerts | Free + subscription | Yes | Yes | Sign-in for follows and subscriptions (per its listing) | 4.69 (950,607) | Oct 5, 2026 |
| Ball Knowers: Fantasy Baseball | Fantasy and betting tools with Statcast-style visuals | Free + subscription (3-day trial) | No | Yes | Yes, sign-in screen on launch | 4.85 (55) | Jul 8, 2026 |

Ratings and update dates come from Apple's public App Store lookup on October 12, 2026 (US storefront). StatScout has only a handful of ratings, so its 5.00 says little yet. Apple Watch and iPad columns come from each listing's supported devices.
The original: baseballsavant.mlb.com
If you want every Statcast leaderboard, pitch movement and bat tracking page, the free Baseball Savant website is still the deepest source, and it works in mobile Safari. What it is not is a phone-first app: the percentile rankings page and the player pages are built for a wider screen. The apps below are for people who want that style of view in an app they can open in a few seconds.
Baseball Savvy StatScout
StatScout shows a 0 to 100 percentile bar for each metric for every qualified player, in Hitting, Pitching, Fielding and Running, with league leaderboards, team boards and a search field. Data refreshes nightly, so it runs through the previous day's games. There is no account, no ads and no betting content, and the first screen is the leaderboard. The trade-offs: it covers percentiles and standard stats only, with no game logs, spray charts, video or news; there are no widgets or notifications; and recent-form windows, comparisons and past seasons sit behind the paid StatScout+ tier. It is also new, with very few ratings.
FanGraphs
FanGraphs puts its leaderboards, player pages, ZiPS playoff odds, standings and articles in an app, and the free tier works without signing in. A player page has Quick, Stats, Splits, Game Log and Heat Maps tabs, and the search field opens on a trending-players list. In my check, the player pages showed stat tables and no Savant-style percentile sliders. The trade-off is density: the tables are wide for a phone, and membership is the route to the premium features.
MLB
The official MLB app is built around live video and audio, highlights, followed-player alerts and Live Activities, and it has an Apple Watch app. Its listing mentions real-time player positions and batted balls in game follow-along. It is the right app for watching and following games and the weakest fit for browsing league-wide percentile rankings, which its listing does not describe. Some features need a subscription or sign-in.
Ball Knowers: Fantasy Baseball
Ball Knowers is the closest feature match on paper. Its listing promises 40 plus advanced stats per player, Statcast percentiles, spray charts, zone profiles and pitch movement maps, plus fantasy rankings, streaming picks and betting odds. It opens on a sign-in screen, so I could not review the stats themselves, and its full profiles are in the paid tier. It suits fantasy players who also want betting lines in the same place.
HOF: Sports Stats & Data
HOF is a research tool for bettors across 15 leagues, with props, parlay tools and hit-rate leaderboards. MLB is one league of fifteen and the listing does not mention Statcast metrics. It asks you to sign in through a web login before showing any content. Pick it for prop research, not for percentile browsing.

Frequently asked questions
Is there an official Baseball Savant app?
Not that I could find. A search of the US App Store on October 12, 2026 returned no app published by MLB under the Baseball Savant name. Savant is a website at baseballsavant.mlb.com that works in a phone browser.
Which app shows Statcast percentile rankings on iPhone?
Baseball Savvy StatScout shows percentile bars for qualified players with no account. Ball Knowers lists Statcast percentiles in its description, but it needs a sign-in, which I could not get past.
Is the MLB app the same as Baseball Savant?
No. The MLB app is built around live video, audio, highlights and alerts. Baseball Savant is a separate MLB website for Statcast leaderboards and player pages.
Do I need an account to use these apps?
StatScout needs none. FanGraphs works without signing in for its free tier. Ball Knowers and HOF both asked me to sign in before showing content.
How current is the data in StatScout?
It refreshes nightly, so it reflects games through the previous day. For live in-game numbers, use the MLB app.
