I really appreciate the giving spirit of the holidays. I think December is a great time of year to reflect on family and friends.

The more I write, the more I learn about myself. I try to get in a good flow and not think too much as to what I’m putting down, but why.

Why is an interesting question that I can’t really answer. I guess I write because I feel better about contributing to the day. Sometimes that’s expressed on Snapchat, Instagram, or even LinkedIn. I find it awesome when people put themselves out there, but are able to realize that social media shouldn’t be taken too seriously.

Having my own website is fun, because on here I can control the narrative of the day. We joke about things like Fake News, but there is some merit in that.

Unfortunately mainstream media is biased on both sides, but that’s what makes things fun when you’re a critical thinker because you have to piece through the news to decide what to believe.

I’ve been enjoying Twitter again more and more and I only follow about 68 people currently. I used to follow like 1000 people and tried to keep up with that daily scroll, but at that point people’s voices become drowned in a sea of activity.

I like to consider myself an optimist, but in today’s world that mentality can be difficult. I assume that if someone’s got a problem with the way that I’m conducting myself that they will text me. I guess that’s a bit ridiculous because I wouldn’t usually text another person about how they’re conducting themselves on social media.

Another interesting thing about social media is this odd desire to get more followers. I understand that people look at like counts and follower counts, but should that really matter? If one person likes what I post it seems worth it to me.

I could get into politics, into cryptocurrency, but I’ll leave that for another day. Sometimes things just need to wait until tomorrow.

Good luck and God bless,

Jack Wallner
